The
Production Lead
assists the production supervisor with daily production activities. They are required to start 30 minutes prior and stay 30 minutes after their assigned shifts scheduled hours to ensure accurate and adequate shift communication. Assists with the management of personnel within assigned production cells. Helps manage information and material (raw material, component part & tooling) flow in assigned production areas. Must take necessary action to minimize delay time and maximize production. What You'll Do:
Assist in supervision with directing the daily activities of production personnel to ensure quality, timeliness, and safe completion of work. Participate in production planning, as necessary. Aid in the setup and implementation of new jobs when required. Perform job setups or instruct and guide other personnel in the performance of setups. Assist machine operators with machine adjustments, tooling changes, and quality checks. Perform Tool Life Management studies and adjust TLM targets. Diagnose and troubleshoot tooling problems and recommend improvements including machining and tooling projects involving new product engineering development and experimental work. Recognize and report errors in programming and operations. Collaborate with programming personnel to correct such errors. Require knowledge of SPC procedures and applications. Be able to train others in SPC applications. Assume full responsibility for operations of assigned department in the absence of the department supervisor. Perform miscellaneous work assignments as directed. Maintain a good attendance record. Why You'll Love Working for Us:

One year certificate from college or technical school; six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide by 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Experience as a machine operator preferred. Training in general safety, foreign object damage awareness, and quality system awareness is preferred.
