The Maintenance Technician performs preventative maintenance and responds to facility and manufacturing equipment repair needs. This role partners closely with production leadership to improve equipment reliability, support continuous improvement, and troubleshoot daily production issues. The position also assists with new equipment and system installations. As the facility continues to expand, this role contributes to the development of maintenance processes and procedures. This is a permanent, full‑time position reporting to the Maintenance Manager, with defined performance metrics and regularly scheduled reviews. Schedule

Maintain production equipment and facility systems for optimal performance Collaborate with maintenance technicians in a team environment Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems in real time Provide hands‑on support for daily production issues and recommend improvements Assist with preventative maintenance programs and spare parts inventory Execute minor construction and facility modification projects Analyze manufacturing performance data and recommend systemic solutions Assist with equipment teardown, sanitation, and reassembly to reduce downtime Identify process improvements that drive efficiency, cost savings, and safety Support packaging technicians with basic maintenance and equipment adjustments Partner with production leads to meet schedules and resolve root causes Coordinate with outside vendors as needed Support other production areas and operators as required Maintain accurate documentation, including PM records and system data Communicate work completed and ensure safe working conditions Safety, Food Safety, and Quality Responsibilities
Work safely and comply with all health, safety, and emergency requirements Identify and report unsafe conditions and support corrective actions Follow all GMPs, SOPs, and regulatory requirements Comply with SQF policies related to pest control, sanitation, allergens, and visitors Support management\'s commitment to food safety and continuous improvement Report food safety or quality concerns to QA to initiate CAPA processes Required Skills and Abilities
Ability to learn new equipment and troubleshoot under pressure Knowledge of engineering principles related to food manufacturing Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, glycol, hydraulic, gas, boiler, refrigeration, and PLC systems Fabrication skills including sheet metal and welding (sanitary welding a plus) Plumbing system competency Industrial refrigeration (Freon‑based) experience preferred Strong understanding of food safety, quality, and workplace safety Positive, calm, solution‑oriented mindset with leadership traits Strong communication skills and cross‑functional collaboration Education and Experience
Minimum 3 years of maintenance technician/mechanic experience, preferably in food or beverage manufacturing Technical degree in an industrial field preferred Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, booms, and scissor lifts GMP/HACCP experience; SQF familiarity preferred Knowledge of single‑phase and three‑phase industrial electrical systems Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and 75 lbs occasionally Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete floors Ability to walk, bend, stoop, reach, crouch, and work in a fast‑paced environment Strong attention to detail, consistent attendance, and safety awareness Our Values
