Job Title: Field Operator (Maintenance Tech) II
Location: Midland / Midkiff Area Schedule: Monday–Friday |5/2|7:30 AM – 4:30 PM No on-call No overtime Pay Rate: $42/hr Position Overview
The Field Operator (Maintenance Tech) II is responsible for safely operating and maintaining wells and surface equipment to meet daily operational objectives. This role supports reliable production through equipment surveillance, basic maintenance, data entry, and coordination of maintenance and wellwork activities. The position emphasizes safety, operational discipline, and strong communication within field teams. Key Responsibilities
Execute daily operational objectives while maintaining housekeeping, safety, health, environmental, and security standards Participate in daily toolbox talks and scheduled safety meetings Conduct continuous surveillance of wells and equipment to identify corrective and optimization opportunities Perform basic maintenance activities as an Equipment Care Technician Monitor and report alarms, emergency systems, and emergency shutdown system status Communicate clear and accurate shift handovers to ensure continuity of operations Coordinate, control, and monitor maintenance activities in alignment with corrective, predictive, and preventive maintenance plans Maintain detailed logbook entries of operational events, abnormal conditions, and deviations Collect product samples and perform field laboratory testing Participate in emergency response activities Report incidents and elevate concerns per Incident Reporting Guidelines Maintain clear communication with Operations Shift Supervisor regarding operational status and issues Diagnose well performance issues and provide accurate production and well condition data Ensure wellhead and surface equipment readiness prior to well intervention activities Provide support to ongoing wellwork operations as required Skills and Qualifications
Required
Completed secondary education Prior experience as a Field Technician Strong written and verbal communication skills High standard of SHE awareness Strong knowledge of pipeline operations Strong understanding of safety and operations management tools and processes Working knowledge of Emergency Preparedness Procedures Knowledge of project philosophy, design specifications, and relevant regulations Computer-savvy with data entry experience Preferred
2–3 years
of relevant field operations experience Pumper experience with strong understanding of process flow Experience overseeing 2–3 person crews Permitting experience Additional Details
