Position Summary The HR Assistant provides clerical and administrative support to the human resource department. The role may involve recruitment, payroll administration and other HR areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provides support for recruiting (e.g., schedules interviews, sends background checks, attends job fairs/recruitment events, conducts drug tests and contacts selected candidates).
Coordinates new hire orientation (scheduling orientation, preparing paperwork, creating employee files) including I-9 completion/compliance.
Maintains personnel files in compliance with legal requirements.
Provides support on auditing, reviewing and processing paperwork and forms.
Participates in special projects and initiatives, including engagement, job fairs and HR assessments.
Maintains confidentiality and performs duties per company policies and procedures.
Supports company Open Enrollment period to ensure smooth processing.
Supports payroll processing.
Other duties as assigned.
Other Duties
Work overtime as dictated by business whether mandatory or voluntary.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities None
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required.
1 year of Human Resources/payroll/clerical experience preferred.
Must work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during warmer and colder months ranging from mild to moderate.
Computer Skills
Microsoft Office.
Certificates & Licenses
None.
Language Skills
Local language required.
Mathematical Skills
Intermediate.
Other Skills
Results-oriented.
Excellent organizational skills.
High level of interpersonal and communication skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
Attention to detail and ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
