CAREER OPPORTUNITY Manage technical projects aimed at product and process problem solving and/or improvements, cost reduction, and profitability improvement. Provide technical assistance to the operating departments to help them achieve the mill’s goals and objectives.
HOW YOU WILL IMPACT SMURFIT WESTROCK
Assists in troubleshooting problems and teaching others how to react
Assists in the planning and completion of production projects
Administratively track any trials, changes and continual production information
Assists in organizing and implementing any changes or trials
Makes daily checks of production output and contributing factors
Promotes daily safety communications while helping ensure a clean environment
Process customer complaints offering corrective actions
Maintains communications with customers while helping correct problems
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering or Pulp and Paper Science Engineering
Experience in a process engineering role (Co-Op / internship experience, or 1+ years experience)
Pulp & paper mill background is a plus
