Diesel Mechanic for Ready Mix Concrete Operation
We are seeking an experienced technician to repair ready‑mix concrete trucks and maintain company equipment. This full‑time position works day shift Monday through Friday, with overtime available. A valid driver’s license from your state of residence with appropriate endorsements and a clean driving record is required.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine, preventative, diagnostic, and repair maintenance on all Company equipment.
Inspect, repair, and maintain multiple types of diesel‑powered equipment (trucks, trailers, plant equipment).
Diagnose faults using testing equipment and determine corrective actions.
Compensate parts and tools as needed and maintain inventory control.
Conduct daily inspections of the lot to identify out‑of‑service items.
Work with specialized machinery such as forklifts, loaders, hoists, skid steers, and aerial boom lifts.
Maintain detailed and accurate service records and documentation.
Follow lock‑out/tag‑out, confined space, and hazard communication policies.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Experience with International, Kenworth, Mack, Sterling, Western Star trucks (desirable).
Experience with DPF systems, electrical, air, fuel, and brake systems.
Welding and fabrication skills.
Proficiency with engine scanning systems and diagnostic tools.
Hand‑tool proficiency and ability to perform tire changes and maintenance.
Strong knowledge of health and safety standards.
Licensed driver with clean record and appropriate endorsements.
Other Requirements
Work in severe weather conditions (heat and cold).
Perform moderate strenuous work: lift over 75 pounds, stand/walk for extended periods.
Must be able to work potentially at various plant locations.
