Warehouse Associate – Avient Pay: Not specified.

Hours: 3:45 pm – 12:15 am, Monday‑Friday.

Job Overview As a Warehouse Associate, you are responsible for a variety of warehouse duties including packing, pulling, checking customer orders, replenishment, shipping and receiving materials, material handling, and completing all required paperwork in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Essential Functions

Unloads goods and material, enters information into system, labels and locates material.

Separates customer orders, pulls and stages orders, repacks material as required to meet customer specifications, makes boxes, packs, labels, and locates materials.

Ensures all products are properly labeled.

Performs functions/transactions in designated system to receive or ship material.

Participates in cycle counting, enters and verifies information, researches and makes adjustments as necessary.

Reviews preventative maintenance check sheets for forklifts; ensures good working order of machines.

Follows and complies with all safety and work rules and regulations; maintains departmental housekeeping standards.

May be required to handle, accumulate, dispose, and transport hazardous waste; must complete prerequisite RCRA training if required.

Drives forklifts, locomotives, track‑mobiles or other heavy‑duty material movers.

Qualifications

High School diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).

Warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Experienced in driving a forklift.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, or procedure manuals.

Mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide; work with conversions, different units (weight, volume, density, distance, etc.).

Physical Demands

Requires standing and sitting for extended periods, talking and listening.

Ability to walk, use hands, occasionally bend, stoop, climb ladders and stairs.

May lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds.

Frequent communication and understanding of work instructions in a fast‑paced, loud environment.

Must detect and respond to safety alarms.

Requires personal protective equipment: safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, hard hat, respiratory protection.

Exposure to outside weather; may be exposed to extreme heat, humidity, dust or fumes.
