Job Summary Manages the application engineering responsibilities for an organization.
Job Duties
Oversee the provision of technical solutions for clients and customers
Determine purchasing and technical requirements
Review and recommend changes in design that align with the organization's goals
Ensure adequate technology is in place and utilized to meet internal and or client's needs
Make certain that all reported issues are resolved in relation to organizational standards
Maintain expert knowledge of the product(s) and ensure that adaptations to applications provide solutions to user's needs
May develop policy for providing technical training to clients or internal users
Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned
Experience and Education
Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles
Perform complex tasks typically following established processes
Lead and direct the work of other employees and has full authority for personnel decisions
Primarily focused on administering established policies and procedures; may have some impact on departmental budgeting, strategic planning and procedural change
Typically require a bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of experience
Ability to follow written and verbal directions
Ability to foster teamwork
Creativity
Problem‑solving skills
Conceptual thinking skills
