Pond is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our growing Energy team in one of the following offices: Peachtree Corners, GA; Atlanta, GA; Tampa, FL; or The Woodlands, TX. This role will support a diverse portfolio of projects primarily focused on oil & gas and aviation fueling systems (military and commercial), with additional opportunities to contribute to renewable energy and utility projects. The successful candidate will work within Pond’s Energy electrical team on multidisciplinary projects across planning, design, and construction phases. This position is well-suited for an engineer with 5–10+ years of experience who is ready to take on increased technical responsibility, contribute to project execution, and help mentor and develop junior engineering staff. Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology 5–10+ years of professional electrical engineering experience (internship and professional experience combined) Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or actively pursuing Strong working knowledge of IEEE standards, API guidelines, NFPA 70 (NEC) and familiarity with other NFPA codes, including NFPA 101, 407, 497, and 780; IBC familiarity a plus Experience leading electrical design for fueling, oil & gas, industrial, or energy facilities Proficiency with industry-standard design and analysis tools, including AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM, and applicable vendor software Experience preparing electrical construction drawings, specifications, and technical narratives Ability to collaborate closely with Electrical CAD Designers and multidisciplinary teams Demonstrated ability to interface directly with clients, plant engineers, operators, and contractors Strong written and verbal communication skills Key Responsibilities

Lead and support electrical design for fuel terminals, LNG facilities, oil & gas midstream systems, compression stations, and aviation fueling systems Develop power distribution systems (low and medium voltage), grounding, bonding, lighting, motor control, heat trace, and standby power systems Perform hazardous area classification reviews and ensure compliant equipment selection, wiring methods, and documentation Apply applicable codes, standards, and client requirements to ensure compliant and constructible designs Prepare and review construction drawings, specifications, engineering calculations, and design narratives Produce electrical calculations including load flow, short circuit, coordination, arc flash, voltage drop, and conductor sizing Develop electrical one-lines, panel schedules, load lists, conduit and cable schedules, equipment layouts, and installation details Support controls and instrumentation interfaces including PLC I/O diagrams, SCADA coordination, EFSO/ESD systems, and motor starting methods (VFDs, soft starters, MCCs) Review vendor submittals, packaged skid systems, and hazardous-rated electrical equipment Coordinate electrical scope with mechanical, civil, structural, and I&C disciplines to ensure constructability and scope alignment Support project execution through design reviews, constructability reviews, and technical coordination meetings Provide technical guidance, redlines, and direction to Electrical CAD Designers to ensure accurate drawing production Support construction activities including RFIs, submittal reviews, site visits, field verifications, and commissioning support Mentor junior engineers and designers; support technical development and knowledge transfer Assist with proposal development, technical approaches, project planning, and client presentations as required
