is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our inpatient orthopedic surgery team in Syracuse, NY. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a collaborative team of hospital employed orthopedic surgeons and PAs in a hospital-based setting, providing comprehensive care to patients undergoing orthopedic procedures.
Position Highlights:
Firstassistin surgical procedures
Inpatient management of orthopedic surgery patients
Pre- and post-operative assessments, rounding, discharge planning
Collaboration with surgeons, nursing staff, and rehabilitation teams
Supportive and collegial environment
Schedule:
Full-time, varied shifts including weekends and holidays as needed
Call Requirements:3-4 nights unrestricted call per month
NYS licensure as NP or PA
DEA certification
ACLS/BLS certification
Experience in orthopedic or surgical inpatient care preferred
Newgradswill not be considered at this time
Compensation & Benefits:
Base Salary: $145,000-$206,000
Starting Bonus: $5,000
Excellent benefits; including health/vision/dental insurances
Paid malpractice, including post-SPHP employment tail coverage
CME time & expense allowance
Paid time away from the practice
Public Service Loan Forgiveness;
403b Retirement savings program with employer matching program
