Locums Vascular Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Vascular Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a dynamic inpatient surgical team in Syracuse, NY. This locum tenens position provides the opportunity to work in a high-acuity, inpatient-only setting with a collaborative team of surgeons, nurses, and support staff.
Shift & Schedule:
12-hour shifts with flexible scheduling, including days, nights, evenings, and weekends Call: 1-2 days per week, overnightemergency OR call (taken from home) Full-time availability preferred Practice Setting:
Inpatient only, no clinicresponsibilities Average service census: 15-20 patients, rounding on 3-5 per day Documentation: Epic EMR Responsibilities:
Conduct pre-op physical exams and assesspatient conditions Round on inpatient vascular surgerypatients, coordinate care, and communicate with the healthcare team Diagnose and treat illnesses withinscope of practice Order, interpret, and follow up on testsand labs Assist intraoperatively as firstassistant, including removal of dialysis catheters Perform procedures such as sutureremoval and post‑op care Prescribe medications as appropriate and coordinate follow-up care Qualifications:
Active NY Nurse Practitioner or PAlicense Board certification or eligibility(NCCPA for PA; AANC for NP) ACLS and BLS certification Syracuse, NY, is a vibrantcity in Central New York known for its rich history, strong healthcare andeducation sectors, and four-season outdoor activities.
