Job Summary
The Project Engineer will support architectural wall panel and cladding projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role works closely with Project Managers, Project Directors, accounting, manufacturers, and field teams to keep projects organized, compliant, and on schedule. This position is well suited for a detail-driven professional who values planning, coordination, and strong execution while gaining hands‑on exposure to complex exterior systems. Key Responsibilities
Review drawings, specifications, scope of work, and project requirements Maintain knowledge of wall panel systems, cladding assemblies, codes, and materials Prepare and submit project submittals per Project Director direction Perform takeoffs and compile material lists for Project Manager review Set up and maintain C2C spreadsheets and project tracking tools Coordinate pricing, quotes, and material procurement Work with Accounting to set up project budgets in Acumatica Complete purchase order requests and track material deliveries Coordinate equipment orders, durations, and call‑offs Track scaffolding, lifts, and access equipment to control costs Compile field folders and pre‑construction documentation Support internal and external pre‑construction meetings Assist with weekly project updates and reporting Participate in site walks for schedule review and technical learning Upload accurate plans and customer data into required apps and portals Manage manufacturer portals including NOAs, inspections, punch lists, and NOCs Coordinate pull tests with third‑party vendors and manufacturers Required Experience & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience 2–5 years experience as a Project Engineer, Project Coordinator, or construction support role Experience with exterior envelope, wall panels, or cladding systems preferred Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment Strong communication and coordination skills Proficiency with spreadsheets and document management systems Construction software experience (Acumatica a plus) Physical Requirements
Ability to walk active construction jobsites Ability to climb ladders and stairs as needed for site walks Ability to work in outdoor and jobsite environments Ability to lift up to
50 lbs
