Unit MOTHER BABY
Certs Required BLS, NRP. Preferred: Stable, CBC.
Additional Certifications If L&D trained ACLS, certification in inpatient obstetrics, electronic fetal monitoring, or inpatient antepartum.
Experience Required 2 years L&D or 2 Years Postpartum/GYN. Must care for couplets and GYN surgical. Level 2 nursery baby experience - 24 hr testing, bilirubin babies, NAS scoring, late preterm, blood sugar babies. IV starts, phlebotomy, magnesium sulfate administration, blood administration, Insulin gtts.
If L&D trained: circulate C-sections, C-section recovery care, cervical checks.
Floating Ability Preferably a candidate who can float to at least one of the following: L&D, NICU, Peds, PICU, needs will vary.
