Staff Nurse - Cardiology Day Case Unit The closing date is 26 January 2026
Working within the Cardiology Directorate and in the daycase unit, you will be responsible for admitting, recovering and discharging patients attending for elective procedures, using a competency based framework.
We work Monday to Friday.
Main duties of the job
Admitting patients as per pathway
Recovering and discharging patients as per pathway and competency based framework
Venepuncture and cannulation
IV medication administration for Cardiology Specific infusion service
Coordinating the unit and staff in the absence of the B6/7
Assisting with the Transoesophageal Echocardiography and Cardioversion lists
Supervising B3 Clinical Health Care Support Workers and Students
Liaising with other departments in the directorate and the MDT

Experience in Acute Cardiology >2 years
Post Qualification in Cardiology
Immediate Life Support
Venepuncture and Cannulation
Experience in elective/planned care
