The Clinic Manager is a licensed mental health professional who oversees all aspects of service provision within the Outpatient Clinic and IFP Program. This position supervises the professional and administrative activities of the two programs including supervising staff and ensuring adherence to state regulations, DCF contract, and model expectations. The supervisor will also provide clinical services to individuals and families as needed. Emphasis is on providing evidence‑based models on‑site in Bridgeport or Milford BGV locations.
Provides therapy to individuals, family, or group.
Oversee day to day operations of the programs including intake/ triage, scheduling, staff supervision, and other situations affecting management of care.
Provides directions and consultation on the work with each client.
Attends monthly DCF reviews in order to collaborate with DCF workers and liaison
Documents and evaluates all services and procedures to be in adherence with state statutes, COA standards, and Boys & Girls Village Standards.
Knowledgeable of medical necessity and documents accordingly
Completes training for multiple evidence‑based treatments and participates in all associated consultations, working towards model certification.
Participate in weekly supervision
Master’s degree in social work or equivalent. Clinical license- LCSW, LMFT, LPC. Must be willing to work in a variety of settings with clients and families.
PURPOSE/FUNCTION OF THE PROGRAM: The purpose of the Boys & Girls Village Outpatient Program is to offer a comprehensive range of services, including diagnosis, therapy, counseling, and medication management. The goal is to improve clients’ mental health, support their recovery, and enhance their overall well‑being through regular, structured, and personal care. The clinic provides Parent‑Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), an evidence‑based service using dyadic therapy through coaching sessions, where a therapist observes parent‑child interactions and communicates with the parent to enhance caregiver skills for managing the child’s behavior. Additionally, the clinic offers Trauma‑Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF‑CBT), an evidence‑based model designed to help individuals process and overcome the emotional and psychological impacts of traumatic experiences.
The Intensive Family Preservation Program (IFP) is an intensive in‑home program designed to prevent the placement of children who have been exposed to child abuse and/or neglect. The program provides home‑based case management, crisis‑intervention, parenting education, advocacy, coordination with community providers, assistance with concrete needs and linkages to community resources.
