If you have a passion for urgent care medicine and you are interested in working for a practice that places a priority on the health and harmony of our team and fostering a positive work culture - consider joining Animal ER Care - Central in Colorado Springs, CO. We're an independently owned, AAHA‑accredited, Urgent Care Clinic, that is a satellite clinic to our North location (Animal ER Care, LLC). Our Central urgent care clinic works in close association with our North emergency care clinic and the associated specialty practices within the Veterinary Specialty Center. Ideal candidates will have 2‑3 years of general practice and/or emergency practice experience, enthusiastic, and motivated to support our rapidly growing caseload. An interest in exotic pet medicine is a plus but not a requirement. Strong candidates with less than 2‑3 years of experience will be considered.

Based in beautiful Colorado Springs, Colorado (http://www.choosecoloradosprings.com), AERC‑Central is a stand‑alone full service urgent care clinic. When our patients require specialty services (ultrasound, internal medicine, advanced surgery, etc.) these needs can be accommodated by specialty services available at our North campus. AERC‑Central has developed a niche within the exotic pet community (in addition to dogs and cats) to provide urgent care services to small mammals, reptiles, and birds. AERC‑Main (our North emergency care clinic) resides within the Veterinary Specialty Center (VSC), a 24‑hour small‑animal specialty hospital fully equipped with endoscopy, bronchoscopy, digital radiology, multiple surgical suites with ventilators, ultrasound, high‑flow oxygen, and CT scan. Both our Central and North clinics maintain state‑of‑the‑art veterinary equipment and laboratory, with blood chemistry, full differential CBC, coagulation profile (VCM), blood gas analyzers, and Sedivue urinalysis machine, sevoflurane anesthesia, telemetry and patient monitors (ECG, temperature, capnography, pulse oximetry, oscillometric, and direct arterial blood pressure), and therapeutic laser. The caseload is diverse within our urgent care practice due to our capacity to manage the urgent care needs of the Colorado Springs exotic pet community.

Our full‑time schedule consists of 3x 12‑hour shifts per week. The shifts currently encompass day and evening hours. Our doctors rotate through weekends and holidays, which allows for desired / requested weekend and holiday time off for all doctors throughout the year. We strive to provide balance for our entire team and attempt to accommodate all reasonable schedule requests.
