Dental Assistant

Silver Spring, Maryland
to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team‑based environment.
Position Overview As a
Dental Assistant
you are an integral part of the care team, supporting the office and assisting professional dental staff with treatment. Part‑time Monday–Thursday 7 am–1 pm and some Fridays as needed

Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments; assist dentists during procedures.
Welcome patients, comfort them, and educate on oral hygiene and post‑treatment care.
Take and develop X‑rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and intake.
Help dentists manage medical emergencies; maintain CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
Qualifications
Completion of a one‑year certified dental assistant program.
X‑ray certification – required.
Nitrous oxide certification highly recommended.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Dental Assistants are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
