The Project Accountant will work with all aspects of project accounting, which includes project set-up and maintenance, understanding contractual billing requirements, invoicing, and collections. This position will serve as a resource for questions and problem solving issues from the Accounting team. Responsible for performing accounting related functions for assigned projects Review and analyze vendor/subcontractor invoices for compliance with purchase order/subcontract agreement Responsible for verifying receipt of materials/equipment or other deliverables with project field staff/project management Responsible for reviewing the coding of vendor/subcontract invoices. Ensure tax compliance for assigned projects Responsible for resolving vendor inquiries Responsible for processing change orders for assigned projects Responsible for the preparing client invoices and acquiring necessary approvals Responsible for reconciliation of cost forecast and accounting system Create and implement work breakdown structure Responsible for performing project closeouts Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university. Required Proven ability to analyze and interpret contracts. Advanced skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat Previous Oracle experience preferred. Self-starter, proficient in time management to handle deadline pressure and multiple assignments simultaneously. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. This job posting will remain open a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until filled.
