Trillium Professional is now seeking a Senior Cloud Architect for remote work located on the East Coast.
This is remote work but candidates will be required to attend occasional onsite meetings.
Senior Cloud Architect to lead the design, modernization, and optimization of Azure-based cloud environments supporting proprietary clinical applications, diagnostic systems, and enterprise data initiatives. This is a newly created role with significant architectural ownership and influence, supporting ongoing platform upgrades and future AI-focused initiatives.
The ideal candidate combines strong Azure architecture expertise with experience operating in regulated environments and partnering closely with software engineering, security, and clinical technology teams.
Key Responsibilities
Architect, design, and optimize enterprise Azure cloud environments
Establish cloud standards and architectural patterns supporting proprietary applications and EHR-related systems
Partner with software engineering teams to support integrations with diagnostic and medical devices
Lead cloud modernization initiatives, including legacy system refactoring and infrastructure optimization
Ensure secure, scalable integration between cloud platforms, on-prem systems, and third-party services
Collaborate on cloud and data architecture to support future AI and advanced analytics initiatives
Embed security, governance, compliance, and performance best practices into all cloud designs
Act as a senior technical advisor across infrastructure and application teams
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in cloud and infrastructure architecture
Deep, hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, networking, identity, security)
Experience supporting mission-critical systems in regulated environments (healthcare preferred)
Strong understanding of cloud security, governance, and compliance frameworks
Ability to translate business and technical requirements into practical, scalable solutions
Comfortable working in environments with proprietary or custom-built platforms
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
Experience with healthcare integration standards (FHIR and/or HL7)
Exposure to AI/ML-ready cloud or data architectures
Experience integrating cloud platforms with medical or diagnostic devices
Hybrid cloud and on-prem integration experience
Background helping define architecture where no formal blueprint exists
