We are seeking a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner for a 14-day locum tenens assignment in New York, starting Feb 15, 2026. This role involves day shifts from 7a to 7p at a not-for-profit community healthcare facility with 94 beds and a Trauma Center. Candidates must have current or extensive Critical Care ICU experience and ACLS certification.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide advanced critical care services to adults in an ICU and trauma setting
  • Manage acute and emergency cases in collaboration with hospitalist and emergency medicine teams
  • Deliver patient care in a Trauma Center, addressing rapid and complex trauma situations
  • Perform clinical assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop care plans
  • Administer advanced cardiac life support as required
  • Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation
  • Ensure compliance with all facility policies and procedures


Additional Information

  • Must be nationally certified as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Required board certifications: Critical Care Medicine; Critical Care Registered Nurse - Adult (CCRN-Adult)
  • Current or recent Critical Care ICU experience required
  • Must have ACLS certification
  • All CV gaps over 30 days must be explained
  • Must hold a valid New York NP license
