A respected community hospital in Newark, New Jersey is actively seeking both Hospitalists and Nocturnists to join its growing inpatient team. Primary responsibilities include managing inpatient admissions, providing high-quality, patient-centered care throughout the hospital stay, and working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes. Job Function: Provide inpatient care at a 201-bed community hospital, managing an average daily census of approximately 30 beds. Supervise 45 Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) within the hospitalist program, serving as the designated supervising physician. Collaborate with tele-ICU providers in managing patients in the open ICU. Admit and manage patients in the medical/surgical units, with occasional admissions to the hospitals substance abuse program. Perform basic procedures such as line placements and intubations, as needed. Document all patient care and clinical activity using the Cerner EMR system.
