Job Function:
Provide inpatient care at a 201-bed community hospital, managing an average daily census of approximately 30 beds.
Supervise 45 Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) within the hospitalist program, serving as the designated supervising physician.
Collaborate with tele-ICU providers in managing patients in the open ICU.
Admit and manage patients in the medical/surgical units, with occasional admissions to the hospitals substance abuse program.
Perform basic procedures such as line placements and intubations, as needed.
Document all patient care and clinical activity using the Cerner EMR system.
