Urgent Hiring Physician - Psychiatry Muskegon, MI Open Salary.

Job Description:

  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric care for adult inpatients in a dedicated behavioral health unit.
  • Perform initial psychiatric evaluations, diagnose mental health conditions, and manage treatment plans.
  • Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications in coordination with the care team.
  • Collaborate daily with a fully staffed, multidisciplinary team including APPs, RNs, social workers, case managers, and other specialists.
  • Participate in daily clinical rounds and contribute to patient-centered care discussions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record system.
  • Work a consistent Monday Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM , with built-in flexibility based on provider needs.
  • Share in weekend call coverage on a rotating 1:4 schedule.
  • Option to pick up additional shifts for extra compensation if desired.
  • Engage in teaching and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows within an academic-affiliated environment.
  • Opportunity to pursue additional interests such as research, outpatient care, or leadership roles depending on provider goals and departmental needs
  • Open to experienced Board-Certified provider or TRULY Board Eligible recent graduates
  • Open to new graduates and experience
    • Physicians must be board certified in their specialty, or board eligible and will become board certified within 2 years of becoming board eligible.
