Senior/Staff Full Stack Engineer

Location: Remote (US or Canada, except Quebec)
Company Stage: Pre-IPO
Office Type: Remote-First (Optional SF HQ for in-person collab)
Salary: $190K – $240K + Generous Equity

What You Will Do
  • Build new products and features from 0 → 1, owning projects end to end

  • Design and ship modular, maintainable, and high-quality code across the stack

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and business teams

  • Engage with customers directly to shape the roadmap and improve user experience

  • Elevate the engineering team by mentoring peers and contributing to technical discussions

  • Help scale both our product and our culture by interviewing and referring great engineers

Ideal Background
  • 8+ years of experience building web applications, ideally in startup or scale-up environments

  • Experience at a reputable tech company or top-tier school

  • Either a founding engineer, former founder, or someone who thrives with ownership

  • Deep experience with TypeScript across the stack

  • Skilled with modern frontend frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue) and backend tools (Node.js, Mongo, AWS)

  • High collaboration chops — former peers in product/design rave about working with you

  • Strong customer empathy and genuine care for the problem space

  • Clear sense of ownership, initiative, and craft in everything you ship

Preferred
  • Experience mentoring or managing junior developers

  • Proven success working remotely

  • Comfortable in ambiguous, fast-paced, product-first environments

Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive salary: $190K – $240K

  • Visa sponsorship available (simple H1B transfers possible)
