This full-time contract role, with a potential to convert, is located in Hilton Head Island, SC. As a Manufacturing Technician, you will focus on laser transmitter manufacturing and work within a cleanroom environment, performing day-to-day operational needs of the business. This position involves installing, aligning, and operating laser transmitters and components, assisting in build techniques to ensure successful product output, developing techniques and procedures for building lasers, assembling and testing optical, mechanical, and electrical subassemblies, completing optical bonding, cleaning, and inspection of laser units with high attention to detail, building wiring harness, soldering, and performing PCB assembly of electrical and electrooptical subassemblies, identifying problems and issues, resolving most issues, and making recommendations for improvements in yield. You will also be responsible for ensuring that specified quality standards are met for all tasks completed, demonstrating ethical and professional behavior in accordance with company values, and performing job duties in a manner that maintains compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, policies, and procedures./ppThe ideal candidate will have developing job knowledge/skills, a High School Diploma or equivalent, and 0 to 2 years of prior relevant experience. Three or more years contributing in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
