Position Overview We are seeking an experienced
Lead Estimator
to join a growing construction team in Los Angeles, specializing in
water and wastewater infrastructure projects . This is a key leadership role responsible for managing the estimating process for complex projects, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for water and wastewater projects.
Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop accurate bids.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather pricing and scope details.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and risk factors in project proposals.
Manage and mentor junior estimators, ensuring quality and consistency in all estimates.
Prepare bid packages and participate in pre-bid meetings and client presentations.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry pricing, materials, and labor trends.
Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards throughout the estimating process.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience
in estimating for water/wastewater construction projects.
Strong understanding of civil construction methods and materials.
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to lead a team and manage multiple bids simultaneously.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
