Registered Nurse (RN) Part-Time Evenings – Tabitha Nursing and Rehabilitation Center
Eventide-Tabitha is currently hiring for a Part‑Time Registered Nurse (RN) for an evening shift (6 p.m.–10 p.m.) with an every‑other weekend and holiday rotation.
Job Details As Charge Nurse, you will provide and ensure the highest degree of nursing care in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as the philosophy, policies, and procedures of Eventide‑Tabitha.
Ideal Candidate
At least 18 years old.
Successful completion of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse course of study. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
6 months experience as an RN or LPN, preferred.
RN or LPN license in good standing as recorded on the Nebraska State Registry or other Nurse Compact state required. CPR required. Licenses/credentials must be kept up to date at the employee's expense. Must meet Tabitha's vaccination requirements.
Essential Job Duties
Follow through on physician’s orders in accordance with Tabitha’s policies and procedures, and receive and record physician’s orders when appropriate.
Prepare, administer, and/or supervise the administration of medication, treatments, and other nursing services as ordered by the physician and according to facility policies/procedures. Observe seniors/clients for any signs of adverse reaction to medications.
Assess seniors/clients assigned to him/her in regard to physical, mental, and psychosocial status, reporting condition changes in a timely manner to the immediate supervisor and providing follow‑up with family and physician as directed. Take and accurately record vital signs.
Diligently observe senior/client skin per Tabitha policies, proactively taking steps to avoid pressure ulcers.
Complete procedures and document the appropriate information on the senior’s/client’s medical record in a timely manner according to Tabitha’s policies and procedures. Follow department protocol for submission of completed documentation.
Provide direction and monitor Med Aides who are delivering medications to seniors/clients. Follow through on the comprehensive care plan as developed for each individual senior/client.
Provide supervision and education to seniors/clients for the self‑administration of medications. When applicable, assist in teaching the senior/client and/or caregiver the necessary skills to allow the senior/client to return to his/her home.
Assist in writing and implementing a comprehensive nursing plan of care. Update the plan based on changes in the senior/client’s physical and/or emotional state.
