Position Summary
Oversees and coordinates the activities of maintenance personnel and external contractors responsible for proactive and reactive maintenance of manufacturing equipment, facility systems, and site infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
Champion a strong safety culture and ensure all decisions and actions align with safety standards. Manage technical operations for production equipment, facilities, utilities, and grounds across assigned sites. Develop and maintain systems for maintenance operations, including storeroom management, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), spare parts inventory, preventive maintenance programs, and maintenance standards. Lead preventive maintenance processes, assign work orders, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous improvement to maximize equipment reliability. Coordinate and resolve unplanned downtime events, documenting issues and resolutions through CMMS. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align production schedules with maintenance needs and communicate plans effectively. Ensure accuracy and integrity of CMMS data for work orders and inventory management. Oversee equipment calibration schedules to maintain compliance with quality standards. Analyze maintenance performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions in partnership with Operations, Engineering, Safety, and Quality teams. Maintain compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and maintenance regulations. Uphold housekeeping and organizational standards (GMP/5S/6S) within maintenance areas. Manage maintenance budgets and monitor cost performance. Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to achieve operational goals. Support internal and external audits and ensure timely completion of departmental tasks. Verify completed work meets specifications and standards. Provide training and guidance to operators on basic equipment care tasks (cleaning, inspection, lubrication). Coach and develop maintenance team members to enhance technical skills and teamwork. Lead with a collaborative, solutions‑oriented approach and encourage continuous improvement. Coordinate weekend and off‑shift maintenance activities as needed. Serve as the primary contact for facility and equipment support during non‑production periods. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Ability to prioritize work, schedule repairs, and manage installation of machines and equipment. Strong leadership skills with experience in coaching, training, and performance management. Knowledge of operational and personnel policies and ability to enforce them effectively. Education & Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in equipment installation, maintenance, and repair. 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Associate degree in machine maintenance or equivalent experience. Preferred
Experience in food manufacturing. Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and electronic controls. Exposure to reliability‑focused maintenance practices. Knowledge of welding techniques and sanitary equipment modifications. Seniority level
