Job Summary As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will operate front‑end loaders, sort logs, and manage heavy equipment throughout our sawmill operations. The role requires working in fast‑paced and sometimes demanding environments, with potential for overtime, weekend work, and various shifts.
Responsibilities
Operate front‑end loader to load/unload log trucks.
Sort logs by species and feed logs to the sawmill.
Climb ladders on heavy equipment and operate machinery.
Operate chipper, heel boom loader, and plow snow in winter.
Perform repetitive lifting and work in hot and cold environments.
Adapt to various shifts, overtime and weekend work during busy production periods.
Qualifications
2 years’ prior loader operating experience preferred.
Proven ability to recognize and sort logs by species.
All applicants must be at least 18 years old.
Compensation & Benefits
Up to $1,500 hiring bonus.
$35.43 per hour salary.
