Addison Group has partnered with a publicly traded healthcare operating organization looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team. This role will focus on higher-level technical accounting and reporting responsibilities, including drafting and maintaining process narratives for auditors, supporting complex accounting areas such as ASC 842 leases and stock-based compensation, and assisting with acquisition accounting. Over time, the position will gain exposure to consolidation work and other advanced technical matters tied to a growing, multi-entity environment.
Job Location Franklin, TN
Responsibilities
Research and document accounting conclusions on complex transactions including, but not limited to, business combinations, leases (ASC 842), Current Expected Credit Losses (CECL / ASC 326), debt refinancing, and derivatives.
Assist in drafting new accounting policies and procedures, including process flowcharts and internal controls.
Support quarterly and annual reporting deliverables with detailed analysis and supporting documentation.
Work directly with external auditors, preparing requested schedules and providing technical explanations.
Collaborate with SEC Reporting, Consolidations, and Corporate Accounting teams to ensure technical accuracy and consistency across the company.
Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects, including system implementations and integration activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting
Public accounting experience preferred
CPA preferred
