Job Description
Primary responsibility: Assist students in their learning process using available resources, materials, facilities, and educational technologies. Faculty committed to facilitating learning throughout the community. Although teaching is central, faculty also engage in scholarly and service activities. Qualifications
Credentialed to teach in the specific program or eligible to be credentialed. Minimum master’s degree, or master’s with 18 graduate credits in a related field. Minimum one‑year full‑time teaching experience (adjunct instructor experience preferred); higher education teaching experience preferred. Knowledge of pedagogy, teaching experience up to two years, strong background in computers and technology, excellent organizational and office skills, communication and interpersonal skills, willingness to learn, ability to research and analyze data, work independently toward established goals and deadlines. Bilingual (English/Spanish) or conversational language abilities preferred. Minimum Qualifications
Resident of Colorado; all duties performed within the state. Not eligible for visa sponsorship; applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship. Essential Duties
Teach classes as assigned by designated supervisor. Prepare appropriate lesson plans for each course in accordance with approved course objectives. Develop and submit course outlines and syllabi to appropriate supervisor. Assist in the development of measurable course objectives and plans. Develop a professional relationship with students and staff to encourage communication. Maintain accurate course records and complete required forms. Be available for student consultation. Assist in the recruitment of students as appropriate. Assist in the evaluation of curriculum and instructional performance when agreed upon. Represent the college professionally throughout the community and college district. Engage in professional development required for credentialing. Additional Responsibilities
Faculty may supervise student employees, engage in campus and college committees, mentor peers, assist with assessment activities, program review, student organization, recruiting, and retention. Must adhere to all safety and compliance policies. May require travel, evening, and weekend hours. Working Conditions
Continuous sitting, occasional walking, standing, driving; lifting up to 50 lbs. Constant written and oral communication; use of computer and standard office equipment daily; occasional vehicle driving. Sustainability Commitment
