Our Opportunity Chewy is currently seeking a

Sr Human Resources Administrator

to join our team in Belton, MO. The role provides administrative support to the human resources function as needed (e.g., correspondence generation, record keeping, file maintenance, HRIS entry) and acts as the first point‑of‑contact for employees regarding HR issues.

Shift: Monday‑Friday, 10:00 AM‑6:30 PM

What You’ll Do

Conduct new employee orientations on‑site to ensure employees gain an understanding of benefit plans, policies, and procedures.

Audit “call‑off line” and process other time‑off requests to ensure accurate absenteeism tracking.

Process punch and payroll adjustments to ensure the accuracy of timesheets. Process changes within deadlines.

Maintain employee files, initiate drug and background screenings, and conduct routine file audits.

Write, revise, edit, and proofread company policies & procedures and related documents as needed. Use the electronic benefits bulletin board and other vehicles to communicate information. Produce the Company telephone directory.

Perform other human resources duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree; major in business or human resources preferred.

1 to 3 years of experience administering general human resources duties preferred.

Computer skills and ability to learn an HRIS system (Paychex or Kronos).

Proficiency in MS Office products, especially Excel.

Superior verbal/written and presentation skills. Excellent punctuation, spelling, grammar, and attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include days, nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
