Responsibilities
Serve as the primary evaluator for software‑related capital projects, reviewing requests for alignment with corporate strategic objectives.
Act as the lead financial liaison between project teams and
Capital Asset Accounting (CAA)
to translate technical SOW details into clear financial documentation.
Conduct deep‑dive analysis on project deliverables to classify costs properly, determining capitalization versus operational (O&M) expenses.
Validate completeness of
Statements of Work (SOWs)
and ensure all internal‑use software meets
FASB/GAAP
compliance frameworks.
Utilize automation and AI tools such as
Microsoft Copilot
to streamline intake workflows and improve financial coding accuracy.
Maintain rigorous records for audit purposes, meeting governance and regulatory requirements for large‑scale IT implementations.
Qualifications
3–6 years of experience in capital analysis, IT financial governance, or fixed asset accounting.
Strong foundational understanding of
CapEx vs. OpEx
principles in the IT project lifecycle.
Familiarity with
FASB
and
GAAP
frameworks, especially internal‑use software capitalization.
Ability to review and interpret technical contracts, Statements of Work, and project budgets.
Proficiency in financial management software; experience with AI or automation tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) is a plus.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
