Job Description StratasCorp Technologies, a DoD contractor with employees located in multiple states and countries, has an opening for a Human Resources Manager supporting its corporate team located in Virginia Beach, VA. The company seeks an experienced hands‑on human resources generalist with the ability to manage all facets of human resources. The candidate must be a self‑starter with the knowledge and experience to work with minimal supervision and support. The ideal candidate will leverage past experience to introduce new ideas and process improvements which will drive efficiency within the business. The expectation is that the end‑to‑end HR function will be the sole responsibility of the HR Manager, and the candidate must be able to flex across a broad range of tasks, varying in complexity.
Key Responsibilities
Performs all functions associated with onboarding, compensation, separations, and recordkeeping for all domestic and OCONUS employees
Manages all aspects of employee benefits to include benefit plan selection and interfacing with health insurance brokers; administers annual employee benefits enrollment, FSA and HSA plans
Manages the administration of Workers Compensation, Longshore Act, and Defense Base Act coverages as well as interfaces with insurance brokers; ensures compliance with annual audit requirements associated with plans
Serves as the point of contact for the company's 401K plan and manages the annual 5500 audit
Responsible for all employee relations matters including oversight of employee performance management, investigations, and follow‑up
Assists and coordinates with the administration of the biweekly payroll, manages all court/government mandated employee withholdings, and serves as the point of contact for payroll‑related issues with employees and the company's payroll provider
Administers and tracks all required employee training mandated by the Federal Government in support of contracted services
Possesses a strong understanding of HR‑related FAR requirements to ensure contractual compliance
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree
SPHR or PHR certified
15+ years recent experience as a senior level human resources generalist, managing a small to midsize company human resources function. At least 10 years with a government contractor preferred
5+ years recent experience overseeing company benefit plans to include 401K retirement plans and workers compensation
Experience managing OCONUS employment
Excellent written and verbal communication
Proficient with use of Microsoft Word and Excel
Deltek Talent Management (Applicant Tracking System) and/or Deltek Costpoint experience preferred
Security Clearance Not Required
