A private single-family office in Detroit serving a multigenerational family is seeking a HNW Tax Manager from public accounting (or equivalent experience) to support the delivery of integrated wealth management services. The firm provides comprehensive investment, planning, and lifestyle support in a highly collaborative, professional environment with a strong commitment to long-term relationships and client service.
This individual serves as a primary point of contact for select family members, providing guidance across investments, estate and tax planning, cash management, insurance, trusts, and broader personal financial needs. This role works closely with internal teams and trusted external partners to ensure thoughtful, timely, and high-quality execution across all aspects of the family’s financial life.
Key Responsibilities
Advise clients on investment strategy, estate and wealth transfer planning, income tax planning, risk management, philanthropy, trust administration, and financial education
Prepare and present materials for client review meetings
Coordinate with internal staff and external specialists as the strategic “quarterback” for client needs
Oversee and direct all client activity within the family office and maintain clear communication across teams
Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies
Qualifications and Experience
5–8 years of experience working with high-net-worth families or complex entity structures
Highly organized, reliable, client-focused, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
Hybrid schedule available after 90 days.
