Position Description The Supervisor - Technical Services is responsible for leading E&C Technicians in the daily activities associated with supporting our RNG and LNG plants and other equipment at Kinder Morgan RNG locations throughout Michigan and Indiana. Kinder Morgan is one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America, owning or operating approximately 84,000 miles of pipelines and 157 terminals that transport natural gas, gasoline, crude oil, carbon dioxide (CO2), and more. Our terminals store and handle petroleum products, chemicals, and other commodities. As a working member of a work team, this position will manage or assist in managing the work group to include mentoring and coaching employees, conducting performance reviews, participating in employment and termination decisions, and providing technical training.
Perform hands‑on E&C technician work as a working member of the team.
Ensure compliance with all applicable governmental regulations and company policies, specifications, and procedures.
Develop and implement job plans and cost‑effective work procedures.
Assist in the development of annual capital and O&M budgets.
Ensure projects are completed within prescribed budgets and time constraints.
Interact with Operations, Engineering, Project Management, customers, suppliers, and contractors as a company representative.
Promote and embody Kinder Morgan Core Values.
Maintain a high regard for personal safety, safety of company assets and employees, and the general public.
Convey information that is concise, accurate, courteous, professional, and tactful.
Communicate clearly and concisely (verbal and written) through all media types: in person, by telephone, and in email.

Position Requirements Education
High School Diploma or GED
Experience / Specific Knowledge
Must have 10+ years experience in one or more of the following areas:
Instrumentation, wiring, controls, low and medium voltage distribution, electric motors, MCCs, protection systems, over‑pressure protection devices, PLCs, data networks.
Respond to and address callouts and emergencies after regular business hours, including after dark hours, which may require carrying a communication device.
Knowledge of compressors, pumps, control valves, process plants.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, schematics, and other diagrams.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
Must possess and maintain a valid driver license and a satisfactory driving record.
May be required to achieve and maintain certifications as required to perform job duties.

Demonstrate intermediate proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

Climb and work from ladders, catwalks, staging, and platforms.
Ascend and descend slopes and ditches.
Work with hands above head.
Work lying on back.
Work in adverse weather and/or extreme temperature conditions.
Working Conditions
The regular work schedule is Monday – Friday.
Requires ability to work extended hours and weekends.
May work in low‑lit areas.
Requirements include good dexterity and mobility to function in climbing, bending, kneeling, working with hands extended above the head, twisting the upper body, standing for long periods, working in confined spaces, exposure to extreme weather, and lifting.
Overnight travel away from the reporting location may be required up to 80% of the time.
Required to carry company cell phone and respond to calls, text messages, and emails as needed.
Operation of a company vehicle is required.
