Job Summary The Production Supervisor will oversee daily manufacturing, managing staff, workflow, quality, and safety to meet production goals efficiently, handling scheduling, troubleshooting, training, reporting, and ensuring compliance with standards for a specific line or area. They act as a key link between management and workers, driving performance and continuous improvement on the production floor.
Essential Functions of the Job Key Responsibilities
Staff Management:
Supervise, coach, train, and develop production teams
Staffing, scheduling, timekeeping, and performance reviews
Production Oversight:
Organize workflow, assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure production goals and schedules are met
Quality & Efficiency:
Maintain quality standards, identify bottlenecks, suggest improvements, and implement cost‑saving measures
Safety & Compliance:
Enforce safety procedures, maintain a safe work environment, and ensure adherence to regulations
Problem‑Solving:
Resolve issues on the production floor, coordinate repairs, and liaise with other departments
Reporting:
Prepare summaries and reports on shift performance, output, and progress
Supervisory Responsibilities
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of all hourly operations personnel.
Minimum Qualifications
Previous supervisory experience in a production/manufacturing setting
Strong leadership, communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills
Knowledge of production planning, equipment, and relevant safety standards
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Business, Engineering)

This position will be at the SunOpta Plant in Omak, WA.
This Plant is a 24/7 operation with 3 shifts.
Shifts will rotate to include both 2nd and 3rd shift as needed.
Relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered.
