Primary Purpose Develops studies, plans, criteria, specifications, calculations, evaluations, design documents, and performance assessments for the planning, design, licensing, construction, operation, and maintenance of Exelon's electric generation, transmission, distribution, gas, and telecommunication facilities. Provides consultation and recommendations to the Company, reviews financial data from budget and actual costs of projects, and works extended hours during emergencies.

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

Performs engineering assignments while exercising independent discretion, including collecting data, performing complex analysis, interpreting results, drawing conclusions, and presenting recommendations to management. (70%)

Executes engineering tasks on large or multiple small projects, analyzing complex power flows and ambiguous results. (10%)

May direct tasks on large or small projects, verifying studies and designs against engineering principles, and designing high‑voltage transmission and distribution circuits. (10%)

Participates on teams and may lead teams. (10%)

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.

2–4 years of professional engineering experience.

Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.

Knowledge of problem‑solving approaches and engineering theory.

Knowledge of engineering designs, principles, and practices.

General knowledge of regulations, guides, standards, codes, methods, and practices needed for assignments.

Preferred Qualifications

Engineer in Training license.

Strong written and oral communication, report generation, and technical writing skills.

Interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with peers and managers.

Consulting and needs assessment skills.

Time, project management, and multi‑tasking skills.
