Construction Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of municipal plant construction projects. This individual will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the required quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, excellent organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities
Manage the overall project schedule, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating with stakeholders
Conduct construction site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specifications
Develop and maintain accurate project budgets and estimates
Coordinate and manage the installation of construction materials, equipment, and fixtures
Ensure compliance with construction contracts and negotiate with vendors as needed
Utilize project management software such as Primavera and Bluebeam to track progress and identify potential issues
Collaborate with the design team to ensure schematics are accurately translated into construction plans
Develop and manage project schedules, including milestones and deadlines
Oversee the maintenance of construction site documentation, including records of material deliveries, inspections, and testing
Conduct regular project meetings with the project team to discuss progress and address any issues
Manage and direct a team of construction professionals, including project engineers and site supervisors
Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, regulations, and industry standards
Manage and coordinate all construction-related activities, including procurement of materials and equipment
Conduct construction estimating and provide detailed cost reports
Develop and implement project quality control plans to ensure high-quality construction results
Manage and resolve construction-related conflicts and disputes
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is REQUIRED
At least 5 years of experience in construction project management, specifically dealing with municipal treatment plant facilities
Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices
Proficiency in project management software, including Primavera and Bluebeam
Experience with construction estimating and project scheduling
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and leadership skills
Experience with construction contracts and negotiations
Familiarity with Waste Water Treatment and Water Treatment Facilities
Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices
Experience with construction site inspections and compliance with safety regulations
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with construction estimating and cost control
Certification in construction management or a related field is an asset
