For our location in

we are looking for a Field Service Technician - Industrial Systems. This position includes in‑office work with occasional travel.
In this role, you’ll provide service for scheduled jobs, emergency repairs, and installations on equipment such as industrial scales, X‑rays, metal detectors, vision systems, touch screens, and labelers. The position requires a customer‑focused mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently. We offer a fully paid, 11‑week training program in Richmond, VA, to build the technical skills needed to succeed.
Your tasks
Perform equipment installations and/or service at various customers’ locations locally and nationwide if necessary.
Perform scheduled work on Preventive Maintenance Programs and Service Contracts.
Maintain a personal parts stock.
Annual inventory counts must be within –5% discrepancy.
Provide technical support for customers and distributors, including on‑call support on a rotational basis and checking shared email folders.
Perform remote service and e‑service.
Demonstrate equipment capabilities, function, and maintenance to operators and maintenance crews.
Handle technical correspondence with key customers.
Communicate technical issues and problems to the head Industrial office and work together on solutions.
Prepare, communicate, and publish technical documentation for regular installations and projects.
Comply with company objectives regarding budget goals and profits, and fulfill reporting requirements.
Log work accurately and consistently in ADP and SIS.
Close work order tickets on time with descriptive details.
Report daily services provided at customers.
Report expenses timely.
Maintain the provided company service vehicle(s) and keep spare parts in new/sellable condition with safe packaging.
Maintain company‑issued equipment including tools, equipment, phone, laptop, and so forth.
Your profile
Associate degree or equivalent from a two‑year technical school or college.
Strong electrical and mechanical skills.
Ability to travel frequently, up to several hours of driving per day, and open to on‑call and occasional weekends/overnight travel. Typical travel is 50‑80% plus overnight (food stipend and travel expenses covered).
Excellent customer service skills.
Basic computer skills and knowledge.
High level of integrity and work ethic, energetic and self‑motivated.
Ability to work independently and remotely with project teams.
Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a criminal background and driving record check, as well as a pre‑employment drug screen.
