Project Executive - Healthcare Construction
Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Project Executive I who is responsible for providing overall management for large projects, leading the project team, and ensuring key and successful customer relations. This individual will interact with staff at all levels in an ever‑changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Summary Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Project Executive I who is responsible for providing overall management for large projects, leading the project team, and ensuring key and successful customer relations, as well as assisting operating groups with winning work. The individual will interact with staff at all levels in an ever‑changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
Establish and maintain successful customer and community relationships
Conduct key customer service visits from pre‑construction to close‑out
Preview proposals and participate in the Request for Proposal process
Act as primary customer contact for assigned projects
Support business development initiatives and maintain customer relationships
Provide oversight and accountability for large projects
Manage contract administration, including terms, change requests, and invoices
Maintain project budgets, costs, and pricing for profitable delivery
Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management for project team
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent field
Minimum 10 years’ experience overseeing large healthcare projects of $75 million or greater
Proven ability to fulfill development‑to‑closeout responsibilities for multiple, complex projects
Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks
Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
Intermediate Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills
Proven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills
Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
Current driver’s license

Base Pay Range $168,100 – $252,200. Actual pay range is higher for the following offices: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%; Seattle, WA and Portland, OR – 10%; Washington, DC – 12.5%.
