Responsibilities and Qualifications
Experience supporting overall manufacturing and laboratory IT systems and devices.
Familiarity with manufacturing, lab, and data center IT equipment, including scanners, Zebra printers, rugged tablets, PCs connected to specialized test equipment, and manufacturing line PCs.
Advanced troubleshooting and problem‑solving for AV devices such as projectors, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, cameras, and displays.
Advanced troubleshooting to identify root causes of IT device incidents reported by end users, including mobility support and management.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with multiple teams (Network, Server) and OEMs on high‑priority issues.
Knowledge of managing power‑shutdown maintenance activities, including shutting down network devices and servers in data centers.
Managing IT asset lifecycle for the location/region: asset collection, vendor coordination, secure storage, labeling, imaging, allocation, recovery, hygiene validation, disposal, and system updates.
Basic (L1) troubleshooting for network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Understanding of GMP and GxP, and experience working in clean‑room or manufacturing environments.
Strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
Providing “smart hand‑and‑feet” support for the technology team on demand.
Commissioning and decommissioning infrastructure devices (rack‑and‑stack support).
Providing physical access to vendors in site, communication rooms (IDF/MDF/MMR), and data center/server rooms.
Printer management and usage monitoring, coordinating with vendors to ensure continuity of print services.
Co‑ordination of cable patching with vendors or enabling on demand.
Ensuring basic network connectivity (LAN), Wi‑Fi access, video tandberg, printer, and voice availability at the site.
Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability by end users.
Advanced Microsoft skills for server support and related tasks.
Safety training and proper PPE requirements; understanding of GMP/GxP environment and approved change‑control windows for maintenance or patching of PCs/servers.
No system or device reboots without proper approvals.
Knowledge of isolated networks common to many MLL sites.
Understanding of critical support during P1 or P2 events (proactive support, spares, crash carts, etc.).
Following best practices in IT rooms and data centers: 5S (LEAN) methodology, clean‑room entry procedures and gear, safety protocols for moving IT equipment.
