Position Summary Supports the provision of patient care through the coordination of unit clerical activities, intra‑ and inter‑departmental communication, record keeping, and order transcription.
Responsibilities
Coordinate unit clerical tasks and ensure accurate documentation.
Maintain effective communication with department teams.
Transcribe orders and manage unit records.
Handle multiple tasks independently and manage time efficiently.
Experience Required: Previous experience as a unit coordinator, completion of a unit coordinator course, or relevant clerical/secretarial experience.
Education
Required: High School Degree or equivalency.
Preferred: Unit coordinator course and/or secretarial and computer training.
Skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organization and time‑management abilities.
Computer proficiency and basic knowledge of medical terminology.
Ability to use standard office equipment (fax machine, multi‑line phones, copiers).
Capacity to handle multiple tasks and work independently.

Schedule & Compensation
Bi‑Weekly Hours: Per Diem
Shifts: 7 am – 3 pm and 3 pm – 11 pm
Minimum starting rate: $17.14 per hour
Base rate may consider experience, education, credentials, and internal equity.
