Job Description The City of Phoenix Water Services Department is upgrading its asset management system through a collaborative initiative involving Water Services IT, business units, and the City of Phoenix IT department. We are seeking a
Technology Operations Coordinator
to act as the central liaison, ensuring effective communication, coordination, and timely execution across all stakeholders involved in this critical project.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a strategic partner in identifying project goals and delivering value-added solutions
Coordinate and manage competing priorities across interdisciplinary teams
Collaborate with business units to gather needs and translate them into actionable IT requirements
Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders
Translate business requirements into clear, actionable deliverables for technical teams
Prepare business cases, executive-level summaries, and project documentation
Ensure compliance with IT audit procedures and regulatory requirements
Maintain clear, consistent communication through written, verbal, and presentation methods
Track and follow up on assigned tasks and action items to ensure accountability
Maintain a structured cadence of updates (daily/weekly status meetings, progress reports, summaries)
Qualifications
Background in
Business Analysis, Business Relationship Management, Operations, or IT Project Management
Experience working within large municipal, enterprise, or utility organizations
Proven success collaborating across interdisciplinary teams
Strong documentation, communication, and executive-level reporting skills
Understanding of IT audit procedures and regulatory compliance (preferred)
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills
Experience with
asset management systems
or large-scale IT implementations
Familiarity with
municipal or utility operations
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
