Job Description Maricopa County is seeking a Programmer I to design, develop, and deliver technology solutions supporting essential department programs, including a case management system. The role involves full‑cycle application development, system integration, testing, deployment, and documentation in a collaborative, onsite environment.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with Program Managers to understand business processes and develop technical solutions
Design, code, test, deploy, and document applications across the full SDLC
Develop custom tools and services using Microsoft .NET APIs
Troubleshoot and resolve system and application issues
Develop new programs of moderate to high complexity using standard methodologies
Participate in inter‑agency data exchanges and criminal justice system integration projects
Conduct thorough testing and manage application deployments
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including:
User manuals
Data dictionaries
Code documentation
Change management logs
Participate in project meetings, technical discussions, and cross‑functional teams
Required Skills
Strong proficiency in
C#
and
.NET Framework
Experience with
C++
in application or systems development
Experience building and consuming
RESTful APIs
Strong knowledge of
Microsoft SQL Server
and
T-SQL
Hands‑on experience with
Power Apps
(Canvas and/or Model‑Driven)
Experience working with
Dataverse
Familiarity with the
Microsoft Power Platform
ecosystem
Experience with source control tools (Git, Azure DevOps)
Strong problem‑solving, communication, and analytical skills
Required Experience
Minimum 1 year of professional computer programming experience
Education Requirement
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field
