Salary Schedule: IB, GRADE 11 (attached)
Salary Range: $49,088.88 - $65,780.14
All mechanics receive a $6.50 / hour stipend per JCPS School Board (Please note this is only approved for the 2025-26 school year and may be reapproved by the school board at a later date.)
Days: 261 Days / 8 hours
Subject to Salary Placement Rules**
Scope of Responsibilities Responds to the mechanical needs for vehicular preventive maintenance and breakdown repair. Must be capable of participating in a continuing educational development program in upgrading technical skills.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Working knowledge of buses, trucks, and cars
Working knowledge of both gasoline and diesel engines
Must have a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Master Automotive Service Excellence certification. Once achieved good for the life of employment at JCPS
