Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our Esperanza Children’s Therapy Clinic in Las Cruces, NM. In this outpatient role, you will support children ages 3 to 18 who experience sensory processing challenges and difficulties with daily living activities. You will deliver evidence-based, individualized therapy designed to promote independence and functional skill development, while partnering closely with families and a multidisciplinary team. This position offers flexible scheduling and opportunities for professional growth in a supportive clinic environment.

Key Responsibilities Design and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with each child’s diagnosis, needs, and goals Conduct evaluations using standardized assessment tools to identify functional and sensory needs Provide direct therapy services and ongoing education to children and families Develop evidence-based care plans to enhance independence and daily living skills Monitor treatment effectiveness and communicate progress to families Complete accurate and timely documentation in WebPT for billing and recordkeeping Meet all Esperanza Clinic documentation and billing requirements Update treatment plans based on clinical guidelines and child progress Support children with sensory processing disorders to improve engagement and functional performance Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and participate in team communication Maintain reliable attendance for scheduled clinic appointments Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Active New Mexico Occupational Therapist license Pediatric outpatient or clinic experience preferred Bilingual English/Spanish preferred Strong clinical judgment, ethical decision-making, and problem-solving skills Ability to adapt treatment approaches in a dynamic clinical environment Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills

Physical Requirements This role requires the ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and navigating clinic environments. A valid driver’s license may be required for job-related tasks.
