Job Title : Surgical Technologist – Operating Room (OR) Location -Mt. Pleasant, WI 53177 (Floating to Racine ASC – 2.2 miles from hospital)

Job Summary The Surgical Technologist provides direct support to surgical teams by performing scrub duties and assisting with a wide range of procedures. This role requires strong experience in orthopedic total joints, plastics, and robotic surgery in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art operating room environment.

About the Facility 60-bed hospital Level III Trauma Center Greater Milwaukee area (10 miles outside Kenosha) 4 OR suites Brand new ORs with state-of-the-art equipment and Stryker integration

Surgical Specialties The Surgical Technologist will scrub and support procedures including: Orthopedics

– Total Joints (Hip, Knee, Shoulder) & Arthroscopy

(Required) Plastics

(Required) DaVinci XI Robotics

(Required) General Surgery Urology / GU (Cysto) Gynecology (Laparoscopy & Hysteroscopy) ENT / Pediatric ENT Vascular Ophthalmology Podiatry Breast Surgery

Key Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms by verifying case carts, instruments, implants, and supplies Maintain strict aseptic technique and adhere to infection prevention standards Perform surgical scrub duties including gowning, gloving, draping, and instrument management Anticipate surgeon needs across multiple service lines, including robotics and total joints Perform accurate surgical counts of sponges, sharps, and instruments Assist with specimen handling, labeling, and documentation per policy Set up, operate, and troubleshoot surgical equipment (robotics, endoscopy towers, power tools, microscopes, tourniquets) Support room turnover and coordinate with Sterile Processing Department (SPD) Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia, RNs, and OR staff Uphold AORN, Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA, and organizational standards

Schedule & Call Requirements Schedule: 4 × 10-hour shifts (0700–1730) Possible 1-hour flex based on case setup and schedule Orientation: 2 × 10-hour shifts Call: Once weekly and every 5th weekend Holidays: Per rotation if applicable First-time travelers: Not accepted

Requirements Minimum

18 months of OR experience Prior travel experience required Mandatory experience in: Orthopedics (Total Joints & Arthroscopy) Plastics DaVinci XI Robotics BLS certification required National Surgical Technologist certification preferred (not required) Epic experience preferred (not mandatory)
