Emerge is recruiting qualified candidates for a direct hire Assistant Controller job in Hampton on behalf of our client, a growing manufacturer of quality products. Our client offers a base pay rate of $130k-$135k per year plus a 10% bonus and excellent benefits starting on day one, growth opportunities, and a chance to make a real difference through accuracy, service, and process improvements.

Base pay range $130,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Partner with plant leadership to analyze financial and operational performance (quality, productivity, inventory, profitability)
Support monthly close, forecasting, annual planning, and daily performance reporting
Prepare and analyze journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
Coordinate capital appropriation requests and post-project reviews
Support inventory control, physical counts, and cost accounting activities
Maintain internal controls and ensure SOX and regulatory compliance
Assist with audits and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred)
5+ years of financial experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency
Experience with cost accounting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Strong communication, business partnership, and problem‑solving skills
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available)
