Tax Analyst – Bridgestone Americas Support the preparation and review of assigned operating tax returns, including the calculation of supporting tax adjustments, prepayments, and amended filings. Contribute to operating tax special projects, respond to business unit inquiries, and carry out various tax research assignments. Assist tax COEs with matters related to operating tax return filing and compliance with related informational requests.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review operating tax returns, including estimates, prepayments, and amended filings.

Conduct monthly and quarterly tax close activities, reconcile tax general ledger accounts, prepare operating tax accruals, identify uncertain tax positions, and perform forecasting.

Serve as a support member for operating tax matters in designated jurisdictions and companies.

Perform tax research to understand the implications of changes in tax law.

Reconcile adjustments with explanations from system‑calculated ledger accruals to filed tax returns.

Collaborate with the Tax Risk COE to clarify positions taken within tax returns and prepare responses to examiner requests.

Ensure compliance with tax regulations, SOX/JSOX, internal controls, and tax policies.

Support projects to deliver tax or business objectives.

Execute and improve tax processes and analyses.

Maintain relationships with Legal, SSC, Business Finance, and all Tax COEs.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent.

Intermediate proficiency in SAP.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Knowledge of Local and Federal Operating Taxes.

Understanding of Financial Accounting Concepts and Reporting.

Experience with Closing Management Processes.

Advanced English communication skills.
